Before you move, check five things.

• Picture it for a faster yes

  Send a quick photo or video of bulky or awkward items — a sofa, wardrobe, piano — so we can price it accurately the first time, with no back-and-forth.

• Mention every stop

  Picking up from home and a self storage unit, or dropping off in two places? Tell us about any extra stop so the price and timing account for it from the start.

• Flag stairs, lifts and parking

  The exact floor, whether there's a lift, and whether parking is more than 20 m away all change how long a job takes. Tell us upfront and we'll price it right the first time.

• Say what needs taking apart

  Flat-pack wardrobes, beds or desks that need dismantling or reassembling take extra time. Let us know so it's in the price, not a surprise on the day.

• Keep the deposit in mind

  A 50% deposit secures your date once we say yes. The other 50% is paid after loading, before unloading — plan for both halves.
