Terms & Conditions

Last updated 26 October 2026.

These are the terms you agree to when you book a move with us. They are written to be read, not to be got around. If anything here is unclear, ring us on 07442 248222 before you book.

1. Who you are dealing with

AT YOUR PRICE LTD, registered in England and Wales, company number 16873695. In these terms, “we” and “us” mean that company, and “you” means the person booking the move.

2. Naming your price

You tell us what needs moving and the price you think is fair. Within the hour we answer with a yes, or a no and the reason for it. If it is a no, you may adjust your offer once. After two no's, a new request can be sent twenty-four hours later.

A price you send is an offer, not a booking. The booking exists once we have accepted your price, confirmed the details with you by telephone, and received your deposit. Until all three have happened, nothing is reserved.

3. What the price covers

The price you name, and we accept, applies strictly to the items and the work listed in your booking. That is the whole basis on which we judged it.

If, on the day, there is more than you told us — extra items, an extra stop, furniture that needs dismantling when none was mentioned, a floor higher than stated, or no lift where a lift was declared — the price may change, or the job may not fit the time booked. We will stop and tell you before we carry on, and you can decide. We will never add a charge without telling you first.

4. Access, parking and permits

You are responsible for telling us accurately which floor each address is on, whether there is a working lift, and whether a vehicle can park within about twenty metres of the door. You are also responsible for any parking permit or suspended bay the move needs, and for any fine arising from parking you arranged.

Where we are kept waiting because of access you did not tell us about, we may charge for the waiting time, at a rate we will tell you before it starts.

5. Paying

  • A 50% deposit, paid to the company account, secures the van and the date.
  • The remaining 50% is paid once loading is finished and before unloading begins, by bank transfer or in cash.

We do not take card payments through this website.

6. Changing or cancelling

  • More than 48 hours before your moving date: cancel and we return your deposit in full.
  • Within 48 hours of it: we keep the deposit. By then the van and the crew are held for you and the slot is almost never possible to fill.
  • Moving the date: tell us as early as you can and we will do our best to carry your deposit over to a new date, subject to a van being free.
  • If we cancel: you get back everything you have paid us, in full. If we have to cancel at short notice through something outside our control, we will say so plainly and help you find another firm where we can.

If you booked without meeting us in person, you normally have fourteen days to change your mind under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. Where your moving date falls inside those fourteen days and you ask us to hold it, you are asking us to begin straight away, and that right ends once the move has been carried out. If you cancel within the fourteen days before we have moved you, what you are charged is what this section sets out.

7. What we cannot carry

We cannot take petrol, gas bottles, paint, fireworks or anything else flammable or hazardous; anything illegal; or living animals. Cash, jewellery, bank cards, passports, deeds and similar valuables should travel with you and not in the van. If you need us to carry something of unusual value, agree it with us in writing before the day so it can be covered properly.

8. Insurance and responsibility

Your goods are insured in transit while they are in our care, and we carry public liability insurance. If you need the cover figures for a landlord or a building manager, ask and we will send them.

We are not responsible for:

  • damage to items you packed yourself, where the cause was the packing
  • damage or wear that was already there before we arrived
  • items not listed in your booking and not declared to us on the day
  • delay caused by traffic, weather, breakdown or access beyond our reasonable control

If something is damaged, tell us within seven days of the move, with photographs if you can, so we can look into it while the facts are fresh.

Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that the law does not allow to be limited. Your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 stand whatever these terms say.

9. Running late

We give a date, and a time window if you have asked for one. We keep to it wherever we can, but traffic and the job before yours are not always ours to control. If we are going to be late we will ring you rather than leave you waiting.

10. If something goes wrong

Write to info@atyourprice.co.uk or ring 07442 248222. We will acknowledge a complaint within two working days and give you a full answer within fourteen. We would far rather hear it from you than read it in a review.

11. Your information

What we collect, why, and how to have it deleted is set out in the Privacy Policy. This site sets no cookies; see Cookies & GDPR.

12. Which law applies

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction over any dispute.
